FOREVER BACK TO THE FUTURE

Made with red brick
Still in great nick..
Behind Hatfield House the old palace sits
And graciously emits
Subtle splendour
With its demure
Lines
On windows, doors and walls, it defines
That it was made to last..
A master class
In ingenuity
With no ambiguity
In its aim to please
The eye with ease....
It succeeds and always will
Warming a chill
In your bones
As it hones
Your thoughts to rejoice
In your choice
To visit this glorious
And tenacious
Abode of royalty of yesteryear
As their spirits steer
You to immerse in their lasting wish
With every swish of trowel and curtain
That visitors be certain
They feel that the architecture
Does take them always and
Forever back to the future

Based on a friend's photo of Hatfield Hall. I have taken 4 attempts but wanted a sharp but subtle view in words like the building itself gives you when seen.
