DON'T BE A STRANGER

Departures

Create adventures

Anew

I will miss you

The creative man thought as her smile brightened the room

But Zoom

And WhatsApp

Would sought that

Feeling of loss

Because moss

May grow fat on a rolling stone

But their friendship would never

Roam

Too far that it could be lost forever

In the forest floor of lost souls

Instead...

It will stay wed

To each other as we are to be like bookends... apart... but only separated by the book listing our different address

We both confess

Our synergy

Is our energy

We are like minded

Never blinded...

By self interest

Instead we invest

In our mutual like

Of...collaboration

And team playing

Slaying

All things singular with a single blow to their head self righteous

As we can not be that precious

And instead like Tonto and The Lone Ranger

To true friendship of another we will never be a stranger.

Written in the kitchen of the Poetry Factory 13th November 2020.

For a all my friends as prepare to move to a new flat.

I never want our paths to part but instead forever meet on the cross ways of life when our paths meet in the times ahead.
