ATMOSPHERES

A wry smile appears
But the fears
Are different now...
How?
On the first isolation
We were with the majority of the nation
Staying safe
To be not part of the R rate
Today....we are
A housemate lies in a bed
Being fed
Oxygen
We await to as and when
Our tests come through
The lottery slogan It could be you
Ringing in our ears
It sears
Through our minds
And finds
The atmosphere has changed
From calm confusion to one of delusion
And surreality
But as the atmosphere changed
Becoming deranged
Has been avoided by the spirit of...solidarity
Using that proven survival tool...hilarity
The group chat
On WhatsApp
Will make each day full of honest cheer
The best way to fill the atmosphere
